Escaping ISIS | My Prayer

Even though it’s dangerous, we’re going to keep going because if one girl escapes, it’s a blow to them. But for now, I can’t forget there are still so many in captivity.

Where are you, LORD?

In the cries of your people? In the suffering of your children?

Where are you?

Where are you, LORD?

In the torture and injustice? In the brainwashed lunacy of the religiously insane? Where?

Where are you, LORD?

In the failed politics and corruption of powers? In the delinquencies of dignitaries?

Where?

Where are you, LORD?

In the bullets and steel? In the cages of fire? In the moments of rape?

Where are you, LORD?

In the buildings and jewelry, or the seminaries and worship concerts, or the subcultures, culture wars, and morals, or the trinkets and leather-bound Bibles, or the crosses made of gold of those who call themselves “little Christs?”

Where are you?

LORD?

  1. That sounds like a Job prayer.
